Swisscom tops the rankings again: connect names it Switzerland’s best broadband network

10.10.2025, For the fifth time in a row, Swisscom ranked first in the renowned broadband and fixed network test organised by the specialist magazine connect – once again setting the standard for quality, speed and customer experience in the Swiss internet provider market. The Swisscom network also scored high across the DACH region: Swisscom also came out on top compared with the networks in Germany and Austria.

Swisscom is number one: In the major broadband and fixed network test 2025 conducted by the specialist magazine connect, Swisscom once again secured the top spot in the "national provider" category. With 991 out of a possible 1,000 points, Swisscom received the top ranking of "outstanding" – a clear sign of sustained excellence and innovative strength. As connect noted: "In total, this gave Swisscom a lead of 12 points over its competitors – securing an overall victory nationwide."

The evaluation was based on crowdsourcing data collected directly from customers through their smartphones and tablets. Real-world user experiences were tested in the areas of download, upload, latency, stability and availability. The result demonstrated that Swisscom offers the best network in Switzerland – even in direct comparison with the networks in Germany and Austria.

A key success factor is the consistent expansion of the optical fibre network. By the end of 2025, Swisscom will increase FTTH (fibre to the home) coverage to around 57% – with the goal of achieving 75-80% coverage by 2030. Swisscom is thereby laying the foundation for people and companies in Switzerland to discover more new opportunities every day that the digital world has in store for them.
