30.09.2025, In-air treats now available on the ground: the famous SWISS chocolate bars from Frey are now available for the first time as a 100 g bar in Migros stores throughout Switzerland for a limited period of time. For once, you don't need a boarding pass to enjoy the cult chocolate.

There are few symbols as closely associated with Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) as the little chocolate bars produced by Frey. For many guests, it is the sweet highlight of every flight with Switzerland's leading airline. Up to now, these chocolate bars were only available on board SWISS flights. In collaboration with Migros, SWISS is bringing the iconic chocolate to the ground for the first time for three weeks from 30 September 2025. What's more, the chocolate will be available in bars. Anyone who misses the chocolate, would like to give it as a gift or is not flying with SWISS in the near future will have the opportunity to buy the little treat in Migros without having to fly 30,000 feet in the sky.

Stefan Vasic, Head of Marketing at SWISS, says: "SWISS chocolate has been a symbol of Swiss hospitality for years. We hand it out over 50,000 times a day on board our flights, bringing joy to people all over the world. Many guests have asked us whether the chocolate can also be bought in stores. To mark Migros' 100th anniversary, we fulfilled this wish together with our strong partner. We are delighted to be able to share the SWISS chocolate with the whole of Switzerland for a short period of time."

"A sweet partnership has forged a bond between Migros and SWISS since 2015: as the largest chocolate producer in Switzerland, we manufacture around 20 million fine SWISS chocolate bars from Frey every year – in accordance with the high standards of the Rainforest Alliance for socially and ecologically responsible cocoa cultivation. Both SWISS and Migros are brands with many fans, which makes a collaboration between us particularly natural," says Rémy Müller, Head of Marketing & Communication at Migros Supermarket Ltd.

A tasty treat with a chance to win

If you buy one of the SWISS chocolate bars, you will now have the chance to win your next flight. The inside of the chocolate bar packaging features a QR code. Simply scan the QR code, register and, with a little bit of luck, you could win one of 500 flight vouchers worth CHF 200 or even one of the 20 main prizes of CHF 1,000. The large versions of the SWISS chocolate from Frey will be available at a price of CHF 2.95 for three weeks in around 450 Migros stores throughout Switzerland.

With annual sales of CHF 32.5 billion (2024), the Migros Group is the largest retail company and— with a 98,776-strong workforce—the biggest private-sector employer in Switzerland. Migros is owned by over two million cooperative members, who are organised in ten regional cooperatives. These cooperatives run the Migros Group’s core activity – the retail business. Migros also owns various industrial enterprises, a wide range of retail companies, as well as Migros Bank.
