Ascom reports significant increase in order intake in the first half of 2026 and improved profitability
Ascom reports continued progress in the first half of 2026, with higher incoming orders, an increased order backlog and improved profitability on EBITDA, EBIT and Group profit level. Net revenue increased at constant currencies by 2.6% and remained broadly stable at actual currencies. Ascom confirms its 2026 guidance of low to mid-single-digit revenue growth at constant currencies and an EBITDA margin of 10–12%.

BV100 RIV-TARGET, the global Phase 3 registration trial in hospital-acquired and ventilator-associated bacterial pneumonia (HABP/VABP) caused by carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii-calcoaceticus complex (CRABC), is actively recruiting following the First Patient First Visit (FPFV) reported in April 2026. The open-label Phase 2b BV100 RIV-CARE trial is scheduled to initiate its first sites in September 2026 in collaboration with ADVANCE-ID. For Alpibectir, the FPFV for the Phase 2b/c pulmonary tuberculosis trial partnered with GSK was reported in March 2026, while the Phase 2 trial in meningeal tuberculosis received its first regulatory approval and is expected to start in the second half of 2026. As of 30 June 2026, the company reported cash and cash equivalents of CHF 69.3 million. Its full-year 2026 guidance was improved, with the expected operating loss reduced to CHF 32–34 million and year-end cash guidance increased to CHF 53 million. Operations are funded into 2028. A conference call is scheduled for today at 2:00 p.m. CET.
