17.04.2008, The 39th Annual General Shareholders’ Meeting of HUBER+SUHNER for fiscal 2007 took place yesterday, Wednesday, 16th April 2008. The shareholders approved all the resolutions proposed by the board.

In 2007 HUBER+SUHNER managed again to exceed the extraordinarily strong performance of the previous year. The company was able to increase order intake by 13.7% to CHF784 million. Sales rose by 11.7% to CHF732 million and the company’s net income amounted to CHF78.8 million, which represents a rise of some 12% compared to the business year 2006. To date, these are the best annual results ever achieved by HUBER+SUHNER. On account of the rise in profits, the shareholders approved the proposal of the Board of Directors to raise the dividend in the previous year by CHF 1.10 to a total of CHF 1.25 gross per share. Payment will be effected free of charge on Monday, 21st April2008.

Elections

Dipl. Ing. Urs Theo Fischer was once again elected into office for a period of three years. PricewaterhouseCoopersAG was elected as statutory auditors for the business year 2008. At the constitutive Board of Directors’ meeting, Dr David W. Syz and Erich Walser were once again confirmed as Chairman respectively Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors
