Valérie Schelker appointed new Head of HRM at the Migros Group

Valérie Schelker, currently Head of Human Resources and a member of the Executive Management at Swiss Post Ltd, will take over responsibility for the Human Resources Management Migros Group (HRM) department, including the SQTS quality organisations and Quality Management, at the beginning of November. In this role, she will also join the Executive Board of the Federation of Migros Cooperatives.

With around 99,000 employees, the Migros Group is Switzerland's largest private sector employer. The company is currently undergoing its most extensive transformation in recent decades: business operations that are no longer in line with the strategy have been disposed of and the Migros Group is focussing even more intensively on its core business. The HRM department supports employees, plays a key role in shaping the corporate culture and helps to assume social responsibility. Values that Migros has embodied for 100 years. Today more than ever, the promotion of talent and sustainable labour relations are key factors in the long-term success of Migros.

HR expert with an impressive track record

Since 2017, Valérie Schelker has been responsible for HR strategy and HR management at the Swiss Post Group for some 45,000 employees in over 100 different professions. She previously held various positions at PostFinance, including as an Executive Board member. She has significantly developed the organisation, management and culture of Swiss Post and successfully positioned the company on the labour market. She has played a major role in the transformation of the working environment at Swiss Post. In addition to her work in the Swiss Post Group, she is also a member of the Board of Directors of BLS AG and a board member of the Swiss Employers’ Association. 52-year- old Valérie Schelker lives in Bern.
