August 10, 2009, As a result of his appointment as a board member and President and CEO of AIG, Robert H. Benmosche has decided to step down as Member of the Board of Directors of Credit Suisse Group with immediate effect. Robert H. Benmosche has been a member of the Board of Credit Suisse since 2002.
Hans-Ulrich Doerig, Chairman of Credit Suisse Group, said: “We are most grateful for the significant contribution Robert Benmosche has made to Credit Suisse during his seven years as member of the Board. Bob's advice and counsel with regard to the development and implementation of our integrated bank strategy have been invaluable. Also, the experience and judgment he shared with Credit Suisse have been very important over the last two years as the Bank has successfully navigated through the difficult challenges in the global marketplace and the financial system. We wish him continued success in his new role at AIG.”
