Ringier Print invests and reduces work places

October 04, 2007, Ringier Print Adligenswil AG is investing 65 million Swiss francs in new production plants - leading to the reduction of 40 full-time positions in the context of the rollenwechsel.ch project.

As already communicated at the end of June, Ringier Print Adligenswil AG is obtaining new production plants for the value of 65 million Swiss francs. The investment represents a clear commitment towards the print, newspaper medium and Adligenswil location.

With the implementation of the rollenwechsel.ch project in the print and processing sectors, 40 full-time positions are to be reduced. Together with natural departures, 32 people will lose their jobs or enter into early retirement.

The personnel reduction will take place in stages until the end of 2009 and is consistent with social welfare. Respective effects were previously examined and settled in close cooperation between the board of directors and personnel committee. At the same time a social concept was also arranged. The employees concerned have already been informed.

Ringier Print Adligenswil AG today employs 390 people, of which 303 in full-time positions.
