10.12.2009, Credit Suisse Group AG today announced that Hans-Ulrich Doerig, 69, will remain as Chairman until the Annual General Meeting in April 2011 when he will be succeeded by the current Vice Chairman, Urs Rohner, 50. The Board of Directors is pleased that Hans-Ulrich Doerig has agreed to remain Chairman until 2011 and is very grateful to him for leading Credit Suisse during a challenging period.

Hans-Ulrich Doerig said: «I am pleased to have the opportunity to be Chairman at a very important time in the history of Credit Suisse and I look forward to continuing to lead the company as we work to strengthen our position. My fellow Board members and I believe that continuity, consistency and the orderly transfer of responsibilities are at the heart of Credit Suisse's success. Urs Rohner has played a significant role in this success to date, both as Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel and, more recently, as Vice Chairman.»
