October 27, 2026, Swisscom has the best network: that is the main takeaway from the latest broadband and fixed network test conducted by consumer magazine connect. Securing first place overall, test winner Swisscom achieved the highest score ever recorded and also ranked number one among national providers with a rating of ‘Outstanding’.

“I am delighted that we offer our customers the best-rated internet service in Switzerland,” says Mark Düsener, CTIO at Swisscom. “This achievement is a testament to our targeted investments in fibre-optic infrastructure and the tireless customer focus of our employees.”

Swisscom has won connect’s broadband and fixed network test for the sixth consecutive year, securing the top spot in the overall rankings with a record score of 992 points. This score not only puts Swisscom ahead of all Swiss providers, but also ahead of those in Germany and Austria. The company also ranked number one in the National Provider category with an ‘Outstanding’ rating.

How the test was conducted

As in previous years, the assessment incorporated crowdsourced data. This approach measures the performance and quality customers actually experience, using data collected from their smartphones and tablets.

A consistent fibre-optic strategy

Swisscom continues to accelerate its fibre rollout to give as many customers as possible access to the fastest FTTH (Fibre to the Home) connections and high- speed internet services. FTTH coverage currently stands at around 58% and is expected to increase to between 75% and 80% by 2030. Through ongoing investment in high-performance broadband technologies, Swisscom continues to give customers access to the opportunities of the digital world.
