02.12.2022, Zurich - The fourth quarter got off to a slow start in October. Now November brings clearly positive numbers and again paints the picture of a very active Swiss economy. Both the number of company start-ups and mutations have increased, and a comparison with the previous year shows that we are at a stable, high level. The impact of inflation is only slightly felt.

deletions
The deletion figures have also increased significantly compared to the previous month. 2,251 deletions were registered, 12% more than in October 2022. Increasing numbers of deletions are normal for an active economy and are not of concern. Compared to November 2021, it can also be seen that the deletion numbers remain stable.
mutations
Just like the new establishments and deletions, the number of mutations also increased again this month. A growth of 4% was achieved, from 15,235 mutations in October 2022 to 15,820 mutations in November 2022. These figures also speak for an active and flourishing Swiss economy, despite the current inflation.
Principality of Liechtenstein
The Principality of Liechtenstein can also come up with very positive figures. Similar to Switzerland, new entries and mutations have increased. But unlike in Switzerland, we can speak of a strong increase here. In November 2022, 79 new companies were registered, 11% more than in the previous month. And the mutations can boast a growth of 38%, from 645 mutations in October 2022 to 892 mutations in November 2022. The Principality of Liechtenstein may benefit from the rather low inflation rate compared to the EU. The commercial register key figures of Liechtenstein can be accessed at www.firmenbuch.li.
