Swiss Commercial Register: Slow start to the fourth quarter of 2022

In October 2022, 3,860 new companies were founded. This is 3% less than in the previous month as yet 3,999 company start-ups were recorded. But a look at the previous year shows a slight one upward trend. New registrations increased by 4%.



Deletions
2,014 new company deletions were registered. A look at the previous month shows a 1% reduction in the number of deletions. As with the start-ups, the comparison with the previous year is more pleasing. There the numbers of 2'138 Deletions reduced by 6%.

Mutations
The mutation numbers for the current month of October are not really convincing either. With 15,235 mutations, 2% fewer companies were mutated than in September. And the comparison to the previous year shows only a minimal increase of 0.1%.

Liechtenstein
In Liechtenstein, the figures are definitely more favorable than in Switzerland. Both the start-ups and mutations have increased significantly compared to the previous month.
