October 15, 2026, Schlieren/Switzerland - The Board of Directors (‘Board’) of ARYZTA AG will propose Heiner Kamps for election as Chairman of the Board at the Company’s Annual General Meeting (‘AGM’) in May 2027. Mr Kamps has been a member of the Board since 2020 and currently serves as Lead Independent Director. He brings extensive experience in the bakery industry and a deep understanding of ARYZTA and its business.
As previously announced, Urs Jordi, currently Chairman and Interim CEO, will assume the role of permanent CEO following the 2027 AGM, and will be proposed for election as an executive member of the Board.
Subject to Mr Kamps' election as Chairman, the Board intends to appoint Cornelia Gehrig as Lead Independent Director.
Heiner Kamps commented: “ARYZTA has a strong position in the international bake-off market, and I see considerable potential for the business. As Chairman, I want to focus on our strategic priorities and refresh the Board to bring in new experience and perspectives. I look forward to working with the Board and management to improve performance and create longterm value for our shareholders.”
